Where femininity and mythology meet
Athina is a world made of beauty and art
and the power of the female world, which is recounted through mythology and ancient stories. A world in which goddesses, witches, and women inspire me every day to shape symbols to wear with my own hands.

Who is behind Athina Jewels
I am Chiara
I created Athina in 2022, on tiptoes and with shyness, starting by making jewelry for myself.
Then, over time, I realized it had to become something more. I realized that I had to merge ancient values with my desire to create.

The name
Why Athina?
Athena is my guiding goddess; I find in her symbols that represent me and have made me who I am today. They have allowed me to go further and make the right choices. That is why I decided to give a name with such an important reference to this world of mine, which has made me rediscover the beauty of creating and being moved.
Handmade
I love creating with my hands and seeing how material transforms from something simple and raw into an iconic shape and a piece of jewelry to wear. I work with different materials like polymer clay, which is versatile, malleable, and magical. But I also use semi-precious metals like brass: I am fascinated by how the material takes on a new life through casting or by working with sheets.

I create by women, for women
Mythology has always been a passion of mine; I read various books on Greek stories and beyond, where the female figure is portrayed in a different light. Mythology fascinates me because it holds symbols and archetypes, such as the strength and wisdom of Athena, the independence of Artemis, and the rebellious strength of Medusa.
Figures that represent nuances of the feminine that I see and recognize in myself and in the women I meet. Hence my impulse and the goal for my brand: to create and design unique pieces that become symbols to be worn—not just a simple accessory, but a jewel that encapsulates signs speaking of strength, rebirth, and beauty.

I love creating with my hands
The creative process is a fundamental part of my work; every shape is designed by me.

The Inspiration
I read, I let myself be inspired, I take a piece of paper, usually my little notebook, and I start creating shapes that recall different figures: Athena, Demeter, Aphrodite, Cleopatra, until I arrive at that symbol.

Unique shapes
Each sketch comes to life through 3D printer design, creating my unique and iconic symbols. Designed to leave a mark.

I believe in the beauty of being feminine
A complicated world that throughout history has demonstrated values such as strength, determination, and the beauty of intelligence. I want to keep this pride alive and find in each of us a story to believe in. For me, reading books about women, myths, and ancient stories helps to find something to believe in; I want to ensure they are not forgotten and carry them with us always.
